A sunset cruise in Bangkok is one of the easiest ways to see the Chao Phraya River at its best. The Meridian Cruise sails from ICONSIAM, the riverside mall on the Thonburi bank, with an international buffet, live music and views of the temples and city lights. Choose the early Twilight (sunset) sailing or the later two-hour Dinner cruise.

Bangkok sunset cruise or dinner cruise: which to choose
- Twilight / sunset cruise: roughly 16:30 to 18:30. Best for photos as the sun goes down, and good for families.
- Dinner cruise: about two hours, from 19:45 to 21:45. Best for a romantic evening with the city lit up.
Sailing times can change by day of week and season, and weekend sunset sailings sometimes leave a little earlier. The team will confirm the check-in and departure time for your date.
Meeting point
Check in at the Meridian Cruise counter at the ICONSIAM pier, on the river side of the mall. Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. Ticket prices do not include hotel transfers.
What to wear and bring
- Smart casual is recommended; avoid beachwear, flip-flops and sleeveless vests.
- A light layer for the air-conditioned deck.
- Your booking confirmation on your phone.
- Cash or card for drinks: alcohol is usually not included.
Tips
- For the best sunset view, ask for an outside or window seat when you check in.
- Allow extra time to reach ICONSIAM on weekday evenings; Bangkok traffic is heavy from 17:00.
