The White Orchid River Cruise is a classic Bangkok evening out: a two-hour dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River with a Thai and international buffet, Thai classical dance, live music and a cabaret show, while the city’s temples and bridges light up around you. It suits couples, families and groups who want an easy, all-in-one night on the river.

What to expect on the White Orchid river cruise in Bangkok
You check in at the pier about 15 minutes before departure and are welcomed aboard with a drink. Shortly after sailing, the Thai dance performance starts and the buffet opens. As the boat passes the riverside landmarks, the live band and later the cabaret take over, and many guests head up to the open deck. The boat returns to the pier at the end of the cruise. Timings can change with the tide and weather.
Pier and getting there
Our booking is for the cruise ticket only, without hotel transfer. The cruise has long checked in at River City Pier (River City Shopping Complex, Si Phraya), but some sailings now use other riverside piers such as Asiatique, so the team will confirm your exact check-in point when you book. River City is a short walk from Si Phraya, and taxis or Grab are the easiest way there. We can also arrange a private transfer at extra cost.
What to bring and wear
- Smart-casual clothes; it is a dinner cruise but not formal.
- A light layer for the air-conditioned dining room.
- Cash or a card for drinks, which are generally not included beyond the welcome drink.
- Your booking confirmation on your phone.

- Festival nights (Loy Krathong, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day) have special programmes and different prices: ask us first.
- The twilight sailing is good for families with young children.
