This water park is closed

Updated October 2026 by the Phuket Dream Company team (TAT licensed).

Blue Tree Phuket is a lifestyle and leisure park in Cherng Talay, between Bang Tao Beach and the Heroines Monument. It became well known for Blue Tree Lagoon, a large man-made swimming lagoon with water slides. The water park part of Blue Tree closed permanently on 1 August 2024, so we no longer sell Blue Tree water park tickets. This guide explains what is still open there and where to go for a water park day in Phuket instead.

What happened to the Blue Tree water park?

In June 2024 Blue Tree Phuket announced it would stop operating Blue Tree Lagoon from 1 August 2024, saying it was responding to changing customer demand. The lagoon, slides and zip lines are no longer open to the public. The rest of the Blue Tree site stayed open and has been redeveloped as a lifestyle village.

What is still open at Blue Tree Phuket

According to guides updated in 2026, the site now focuses on sport, food and shopping:

  • Sport: padel courts, a skate park, and jogging and cycling trails in the park.
  • Food and drink: cafés and restaurants serving Thai and international food.
  • Shopping village: boutiques, beachwear and homeware shops in colourful arcades styled after Phuket Old Town.
  • Indoor entertainment for families on rainy days.

Opening hours vary by venue, so check before you go.

Water parks in Phuket you can still visit

  • Andamanda Phuket is in Kathu, between Patong and Phuket Town. It is a large water park with a Thai mythology theme, with many slides, a wave pool and a lazy river.
  • Splash Jungle is in Mai Khao, near the airport. It is a long-running water park with family slides, a wave pool and a lazy river.

Both are bookable through us with hotel transfers. Ask our team which suits your group’s ages and where you are staying.

Tips for a water park day in Phuket

  • Go on a weekday and arrive at opening time for shorter queues.
  • Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a rash vest for children and water shoes for hot paths.
  • Check the height limits on the big slides before promising them to the kids.
  • Lockers and towels are usually extra, so bring a small amount of cash.
