Siam Niramit Bangkok was one of the best-known dinner shows in Bangkok: a large stage production about Thai history, beliefs and festivals, with a Thai village and buffet restaurant attached. Many travellers still search for the Siam Niramit show in Bangkok, so here is where things stand in 2026 and what you can do instead.

Is Siam Niramit Bangkok still open?

No. The Bangkok theatre on Thiam Ruam Mit Road in Huai Khwang, opposite the Thailand Cultural Centre, stopped performing in March 2021 during the pandemic. The operator announced in September 2021 that the Bangkok show would close permanently. We are not able to book it, and any tickets offered for the Bangkok venue should be treated with caution.

The sister production, Siam Niramit Phuket, was only paused during the pandemic and reopened in October 2022. If you are travelling to Phuket, this is now the way to see the show.

What the Siam Niramit show is like

• A large-scale stage show telling the story of Thailand’s regions, beliefs and festivals
• Elaborate costumes, music and stage effects, including water and flying scenes
• A traditional Thai village area before the show, with crafts and outdoor performances
• An optional buffet dinner before the performance

In Phuket the show usually starts at 20:30 and runs for a little over an hour, with dinner served beforehand. The theatre is normally closed one day a week. The team will confirm the current schedule when you enquire.

Bangkok dinner show alternatives

If you are staying in Bangkok, there are still good ways to spend an evening with Thai culture and food:

• A dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River, passing the lit-up temples and Grand Palace
• A Thai classical dance performance with dinner
• A Muay Thai boxing night at one of the city’s stadiums

• Arrive early enough to walk around the Thai village before the show starts.
• Photography and video recording are not allowed during the performance.
• Book a return transfer, as the theatre is outside the main beach areas.
