This Phuket jet ski tour is a guided, self-drive island-hopping trip. You ride your own jet ski in a small convoy behind a local guide, crossing open water to six (or nine) islands off Phuket’s east coast, with stops to swim, take photos and have lunch.

The trip leaves from AA Marina on the east side of Phuket. Each jet ski takes one driver with the option of a passenger on the back. Hotel transfers, a guide and lunch are included.

Pickup is roughly 1.5-2 hours before departure depending on your hotel – see the pickup table below. The route can change on the day with wind, tide and sea conditions.
What to expect on the Phuket jet ski tour
After pickup you check in at the marina and get a safety briefing and short lesson on how to handle the jet ski. You then set off in convoy behind the guide. The Khai islands are known for clear, shallow water and white sand, while Rang Yai is a quiet, flat island with a long beach. Stops give you time to swim and relax before riding on to the next island and back to the marina.

Free pickup from Kata, Karon, Patong, Tri-Trang, Kalim, Kamala, Nakalay, Phuket Town and Koh Siray. Staying somewhere else? Ask the team for a transfer quote.
What to bring
- Swimwear and a change of clothes
- Reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap and a hat
- A waterproof phone pouch
- Passport or a copy, in case the operator asks for ID
Tips and safety
- Always wear the life jacket provided and stay in line behind the guide.
- Phuket’s marine authorities stepped up checks on unlicensed jet ski operators in July 2026 – booking an organised tour through a licensed tour company is the safest way to ride.
- The sea is calmest from November to April; outside this period trips may be rescheduled for weather.
- Not recommended if you are pregnant or have back or heart problems.
- Take photos of the jet ski with the guide before you set off.

Do I need a licence or experience?
No experience is needed – you get a briefing and lesson before setting off. The team will confirm any ID or licence the operator asks for when you book.

Prices are per jet ski for 2 people – one driver and one passenger.

Is lunch included?
Yes, lunch is included along with the guide and transfers.
What if the weather is bad?
The guide may change the route or the trip may be postponed. The team will contact you on WhatsApp to rebook.
Can children join?
Children can usually ride as passengers with an adult. Ask the team for the operator’s current age rules.
