Aquaria Phuket is a large indoor aquarium on the basement floor of Central Phuket Floresta, the big shopping mall just outside Phuket Town. Described as Thailand’s largest aquarium, it is home to more than 25,000 sea and freshwater animals and makes an easy, air-conditioned family day out – ideal on a rainy or very hot afternoon.

What to expect inside Aquaria Phuket
The route is split into themed zones, including Mystic Forest, Coastal Haven, the South China Sea and Station Aquarius. You start among rivers and caves, move to the coast and stingray pools, and finish at the large ocean displays. Most visitors spend 2-3 hours inside. Show and feeding times change, so check the board at the entrance when you arrive.

Getting there
Central Phuket is about 20-30 minutes by road from Patong and the west coast beaches, depending on traffic. You can make your own way there or add a round-trip private van from your hotel (prices per van for up to 10 people are shown in the table below).
Tips
- Weekday mornings are usually quieter than weekends and school holidays.
- Bring a light jumper – the air conditioning is cold.
- Children under 90 cm normally enter free; child tickets cover 90-140 cm.

Zone 3 (Jewels of the jungle)
A gigantic jambolan tree grows at the foot of the Himmapan mountain rang.
This tree stands on the river banks of Sida Nadi, the River of Coolness.
“Beyond this is a forest of trees that have women as their fruit, they are very beauti-ful and are like maidens who have reached maturi-ty. When men see them, they fall in love with them.” Like the fruits of the Jambolan tree, the exhibits you see here are the JEWELS OF THE JUNGLE
Zone 4 (The River Cave)
Waters from lake Anotata flows out from four cardinal point marked by the face of a lion, and elephant, a horse and a bull.
The river on the south is blocked by a mountain, so it shoots upwards into the air and falls onto a three-sid-ed stone that forms the three sided Lake of Lotuses, out of ehich flows a massive river above ground as well as one into A RIVER CAVE that breaks info five rivers: the Ganga, Yamana, Aciravati, Mah i, and Sarabhu.
