Updated October 2026 by the Phuket Dream Company team (TAT licensed).
Samui Elephant Kingdom is an elephant sanctuary on Koh Samui where rescued elephants live without riding or shows. A raised skywalk lets you watch them roam and play from above, without disturbing them. This half-day visit includes hotel pickup and return, and you can choose a morning or an afternoon session.
Samui Elephant Kingdom highlights
- Ethical, no-riding elephant sanctuary on Koh Samui
- Elevated skywalk for a bird’s-eye view of the elephants

- Free hotel pickup from the main areas of Koh Samui
About the sanctuary
The sanctuary was founded by a local family who had worked with elephants for generations. Their elephants once carried tourists on treks and took part in shows. The family decided there was a better way and set up the sanctuary in 2019, moving the elephants away from chains and work so they could live more naturally. The project also focuses on veterinary care for local elephants.
