Escape the crowds on this unforgettable speedboat tour from Phuket to the remote islands of Rok and Haa. Relax on the idyllic beaches of Koh Rok within Mu Koh Lanta Marine National Park and come face-to-face with colourful tropical fish, gentle sea turtles and quirky invertebrates while snorkelling in the waters of Koh Haa.
Including a home-cooked lunch, this Rok Island tour is ideal for travellers who’ve already visited the Phi Phi Islands or want to venture off-the-beaten-tourist-track. It includes a 1.5-hour speedboat ride each way, with spectacular scenery accompanying your journey. Led by an experienced guide, you’ll discover the incredible beauty of Ko Lanta and Thailand’s undeniably magnificent Andaman coast.
If the long speedboat ride isn’t for you, why not join our full-day deluxe tour to Phi Phi Island and Bamboo Island or our Phi Phi 6 Islands tour from Phuket.
Itinerary
After being picked up from your Phuket hotel by minivan between 07:00 and 07:30, you’ll be transported to the Boat Pier where a light breakfast will be served. It’s here that you’ll meet your tour guide and receive a short briefing about what you can expect during this Rok Island tour.
Our first class speedboat will then whisk you away to Rok Island (also known as Koh Lanta Yai), which lies between the Phi Phi Islands and mainland Thailand. On arrival, you can don your snorkelling gear and jump into the crystal clear waters to discover the island’s spectacular marine life. Rok Island’s white sandy beaches are inhabited by charming hermit crabs and are an ideal setting for doing as much or as little as you like.
Once you’ve built up an appetite, we’ll serve a delicious home-cooked lunch, accompanied by a selection of soft drinks and juices. It’s then time to continue by boat to Haa Island, an archipelago of five rocky islands that surround a sheltered lagoon. Renowned for its healthy coral reefs, Koh Haa is an exceptional snorkelling destination, with colourful tropical fish, curious crabs and octopi calling the waters “home”. If you’re lucky, you may also catch sight of hawksbill turtles cruising by or moray eels peering out from beneath rocks.
Shortly after 15:00, we’ll begin the return speedboat journey to Phuket, with majestic scenery along the way. On arrival at the pier, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel around 17:00.
