Phuket to Koh Yao Noi speedboat and ferry times

The current Bang Rong to Laem Sai and Laem Sai to Bang Rong schedules are in the tables below. Departures run from early morning to late afternoon. The first boat from Koh Yao Noi to Phuket leaves early, which makes it handy for morning flights. Boats can be delayed or cancelled in rough weather, especially from May to October, so check with us the day before you travel.

What to expect

1. Arrive at Bang Rong Pier at least 30 minutes before departure. It is about 20–25 minutes by road from Phuket Airport and around an hour from Patong or the southern beaches.
2. Check in at the operator’s counter with your booking confirmation. A phone screen is fine.
3. The speedboat crosses Phang Nga Bay, often stopping at Koh Yao Yai on the way, and arrives at Laem Sai Pier on Koh Yao Noi.
4. On arrival, take the optional island transfer to your hotel, or arrange a taxi at the pier.

About Bang Rong Pier and Laem Sai Pier

• Bang Rong Pier (Phuket): in Pa Khlok, on Phuket’s north-east coast. There is a small car park and a few food stalls.
• Laem Sai Pier (Koh Yao Noi): on the south side of the island. There is very little at the pier itself, so we recommend booking the hotel transfer.

Koh Yao Noi in brief

Koh Yao Noi is a quiet, rural island in Phang Nga Bay with limestone views, rice fields, rubber plantations and small beaches along the east coast. People go there to slow down: kayaking, cycling, cooking classes and day trips to the nearby islands of the bay. Most hotels can rent you a scooter or bicycle.
