The routes

Krabi 4 Islands (half day)

The 4 islands route usually includes Phra Nang Cave Beach on the Railay peninsula, Koh Poda, Chicken Island (Koh Kai) and Koh Tup, where a sandbar joins the islands at low tide. There’s time to swim, snorkel and relax on the beaches. The afternoon trip finishes at sunset.

Hong Islands (full day)

The Hong Islands lie north of Ao Nang in the national park. The day usually includes the Hong Island lagoon and beach, plus nearby islands such as Koh Lao Lading and Koh Pak Bia, depending on the tide. It’s a longer day with more time at each stop.

The exact stops depend on the tide, the weather and park rules on the day. Your captain will suggest the best order.

Good to know

• National park fees are charged per person at both the 4 islands and the Hong Islands, and they’re usually paid separately. We’ll confirm the current fee when you book.
• Longtail boats are open boats with a canopy. Expect sea spray, and the engine is loud.
• The calmest seas are from November to April. From May to October, trips can be changed or cancelled because of waves.
• The price is per boat for up to 10 guests. Extra guests are charged per person (see the table below).
