About Racha Island
Racha Yai is the main island, with Patok Bay as the usual landing beach from November to April and Siam Bay on the north side for a quieter swim. Reefs start close to shore, so snorkelling is easy, and the island is popular for beginner diving. In the May to October monsoon season, the west side can be rough and boats often land on the more sheltered east side instead. Racha Noi, further south, is a rocky island best known for deeper diving.
