Go karting in Phuket: choosing your kart
All the options are in the price table below. As a rough guide:
- Kid Kart: a small, speed-limited kart for younger drivers.
- Double Seat: two seats, so an adult can drive with a child or a nervous passenger.
- Single Seat (4-stroke): the usual choice for first-time adult and teen drivers.
- Racing Kart (2-stroke 100cc / 125cc): much faster and for experienced drivers only.
Staff may decide which kart class you can drive based on your age, size and experience. Our team will confirm any age or height limits when you book.
What to expect
- Arrive at the track, or be picked up from your hotel if you add a transfer.
- Get your helmet and safety kit, have a short briefing, and staff adjust the kart to your size.
- Race for 10 minutes. Many people book a second session once they have learnt the corners.
- Relax with a drink in the shaded seating area. Non-drivers can watch from there too.
Location and transfers
The track is in Kathu, on the main road between Patong and Phuket Town, across from Tiger Kingdom. Coming from Patong, you go over Patong Hill and the karting area is on the way down the other side. Phuket has more than one karting business in this area, so we will send you the exact meeting point after booking. If you would like a round-trip transfer from your hotel, ask our team and we will arrange it.
What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes (flip-flops are not suitable for driving)
- Comfortable clothes. Tie long hair back.
- Sunglasses and water for waiting between races
- Cash for drinks and any extra sessions
Tips
- Late afternoon is cooler and less glaring than midday.
- The track can close for safety in heavy rain, so keep your plans flexible in the wet season (May to October).
