A Pattaya 3 islands tour by catamaran is one of the easiest ways to spend a lazy day at sea from Pattaya. The classic route visits Koh Phai, Koh Rin and Koh Phet (often written Koh Ped), with swimming, snorkelling and lunch on board. The Serenity catamaran day on this page is not running at the moment, but this guide explains how these trips usually work so you know what to look for, and our team can point you to a similar boat trip.

Why choose a catamaran in Pattaya?
- Smoother ride: a catamaran sits on two hulls, so it rolls far less than a speedboat. A good choice if you get seasick or are travelling with children or older relatives.
- Space on board: room to sit in the shade, sunbathe on the deck and eat lunch without rushing.
- Slower pace: travel between islands takes longer than by speedboat, but the cruising is part of the fun.
The three islands on the Pattaya 3 islands tour
Koh Phai
The first stop on the old schedule, with time for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on the beach.
Koh Rin
A quieter island for more swimming and snorkelling. The operator also offered simple fishing from the boat, with gear and bait supplied and the crew happy to show beginners how.
Koh Phet (Koh Ped)
The last stop before cruising back, known for the monkeys that live on the island. Keep food and drinks out of sight and enjoy them from a distance; wild monkeys can grab bags.
What a typical day looked like
The operator’s schedule is kept at the bottom of this page. In short: hotel pickup in Pattaya around 08:00, departure from Ocean Marina Yacht Club (Na Jomtien) around 09:30, a Thai buffet lunch on board, three island stops, and back at the marina around 16:30 for the transfer to your hotel. Timings always depend on the tide and the weather.
What to bring
- Swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes
- Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
- A light cover-up for the sun on deck
- Some cash for drinks or extras
- A copy of your passport, as operators often need details for insurance
Tips for boat trips from Pattaya
- From roughly May to October the sea can be rougher, and boat trips are sometimes changed or cancelled on the day.
- If you are staying in Bangkok, a Pattaya island day means a long transfer each way. Ask us for the transfer cost before booking.
- If you only want beach time, Koh Larn (Coral Island) is the closest island to Pattaya and is reached by ferry or speedboat from Bali Hai Pier.
FAQ
Is the Serenity catamaran trip available now?
Not at the moment. Message our team on WhatsApp and we will suggest a similar island trip from Pattaya that is running on your dates.
Is a catamaran better than a speedboat?
It is smoother and more spacious, so it suits families and anyone prone to seasickness. A speedboat is faster if you want to fit more stops into the day.
Can I do this trip from Bangkok?
Yes, but it is a long day because of the road transfer. The team can quote a transfer from your hotel in Bangkok.
Is it suitable for children?
Generally yes. Life jackets are provided on boats, and the old rates included a child price for ages 3 to 12.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The schedule may change to suit the tide and conditions, and the operator can cancel for safety. If that happens, we help you rebook or find another option.
