This temple is said to store-keep the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. This became Chiang Mai’s famous tourist atttaction since it is must go place tourists both Thais and foreigners who visit Chiang Mai.
From where the temple is situated you can see a lovely panoramic view of Chiang Mai city at 3,500 feet above the sea level. There are 2 ways to get up tp the temple, one of them is a 306 step- stair case which you can walk up to the temple or if you do not have so much energy or are not so mobile, you can go up the temple by an elevator.
After that, visit Meo hill tribe village at Doi Pui. Visit the museum and learn their history and life styles.
