If you are comparing Phi Phi island tour from Phuket prices, a big boat is the budget-friendly way to go. This day trip uses a large, stable ferry-style boat with Gold seats, and visits the main sights of the Phi Phi Islands with a buffet lunch. It is slower and busier than a speedboat, but much smoother on the crossing, which suits anyone who gets sea-sick.

Phi Phi island tour from Phuket: itinerary
- 07:00–07:10: minivan pickup from your Phuket hotel and transfer to the private pier at Koh Sirey for check-in and a briefing.
- Morning: cruise to Phi Phi Don, dropping some passengers at Tonsai Pier, then sightseeing around Phi Phi Leh: Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Lagoon and the Viking Cave.
- Monkey Beach: time for swimming and snorkelling.
- Maya Bay: because of its size, the big boat stays at the entrance and does not go into the bay or the shallow lagoons. Maya Bay itself closes every August and September, and swimming there is not allowed.
- Lunch: international buffet, then a return stop at Tonsai Pier.
- Around 16:15: arrive back at Koh Sirey and transfer to your hotel.
The itinerary is approximate and may change with weather and tides.
Big boat or speedboat?
- Big boat: cheaper, smoother and more space, but slower and with more people. It cannot go into shallow bays.
- Speedboat: faster, smaller groups and more stops, including the shallow bays, but bumpier and pricier.
If you prefer a smaller group, see our budget Phi Phi and Khai Islands speedboat trip.
