You can visit the Similan Islands from Krabi in one day. This trip collects you from Krabi Town, Ao Nang or Klong Muang before dawn, drives you to the pier in Khao Lak, then takes you by speedboat to four of the Similan Islands for snorkelling, white beaches and the famous Sail Rock viewpoint. - Early pickup (around 05:30-05:45) and road transfer to the speedboat pier in Khao Lak.

How to reach the Similan Islands from Krabi
There are no boats from Krabi straight to the Similans. All day trips leave from the Khao Lak coast in Phang Nga, so from Krabi you travel by road first and then by speedboat. Expect a long day – the road transfer each way is a big part of it – but this is the simplest way to see the islands without moving hotels.
Season and park rules
- The park is open from 15 October 2026 to 15 May 2027 and closed in the monsoon months.
- Visitor numbers are capped each day, so book early in December to April.
- Reef-damaging sunscreens (oxybenzone, octinoxate, 4-MBC, butylparaben) are banned.
- A national park fee applies. The team will confirm whether it is included or paid on the day.
