The Samui Zipline Lipa Noi course, on the quieter south-west coast, flies you high above old jungle with views towards the sea. You move between treetop platforms on ziplines, a canopy bridge, a spiral staircase and an abseil descent, with trained guides beside you at every step. Choose a 16-platform or 18-platform course, with hotel pickup available from most parts of the island.

Samui zipline Lipa Noi: what to expect
- Pickup: if you’ve booked a transfer, the driver collects you about half an hour before your slot (a minimum of 2 people applies).
- Welcome and briefing: arrive at Lipa Noi, put on your harness and helmet, and listen to the guides’ safety talk.
- The course: zip, climb and abseil from platform to platform. Most people take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on group pace.
- Refreshments, then the transfer back to your hotel.

What to bring and wear
- Closed-toe shoes such as trainers. Flip-flops are not suitable.
- Comfortable clothes that let you move freely. Shorts or trousers are better than skirts or dresses.
- Tie back long hair and leave loose jewellery at the hotel

- A phone strap if you want to film. Ask the guides first.

- Morning slots are usually cooler.
- Book ahead in high season, from December to April and in July and August.
- Tell the team about any health issues, pregnancy or a fear of heights before you book.
