Take good care of the mild-mannered elephants and combine your favorite outdoor activities in Phang Nga with the ease of a shuttle from your Khao Lak hotel. Choose your outdoor activities for the day, keeping in mind that you can combine river kayaking with an elephant care experience.
After you arrive, the program will start at 11 AM with river kayaking along the Song Phraek River, complete with safety instruction. A 30-minute ATV excursion in the rainforest. After the outdoor excursion, savor a traditional Thai lunch served with fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. Learn everything there is to know about elephants at Elephant Camp. After being outfitted in a traditional Mahout attire, you will attend an orientation training course covering the fundamentals of park operations and elephant care.
Following your training, you will have the opportunity to interact with the elephants. Discover everything there is to know about the habits and background of these amazing animals. Assist the elephants’ caregivers in preparing their special meal, and then help feed them. Get to know the gentle giants personally like never before.
Take the elephants for a mud treatment once they have rested; this will help them cool up and keep parasites away. Give the elephants a river bath to wash off the muck and cap off this incredible experience. When the day is almost over, stop for another cup of tea or coffee before returning to your accommodation.
