The Krabi hot spring waterfall is one of southern Thailand’s most unusual sights: warm mineral water tumbling over rock terraces into natural pools where you can soak in the middle of the jungle. This full-day Krabi tour combines the Khlong Thom hot spring waterfall with a swim at the Emerald Pool and a visit to Tiger Cave Temple, with lunch and a guide.

Itinerary: what to expect
Pickup from your Krabi hotel is between about 07:50 and 08:30. You transfer to the meeting point, meet your guide and drive around one hour to Khlong Thom district.
Around 10:00 you reach the hot spring waterfall. Hot water from underground springs mixes with a cool stream and flows over sloping rocks into shallow natural “bathtubs”. The water is warmest near the source and cools as it runs downhill, so you can move between pools to find your temperature.
After lunch you head into the forest to the Emerald Pool, a spring-fed pool surrounded by rainforest, for a swim. The last stop is Tiger Cave Temple, a working forest monastery in the Kiriwong Valley. The famous stairway of around 1,260 steps leads to a golden Buddha and views over Krabi. The climb is steep and optional.
You return to the meeting point around 16:00 and are taken back to your hotel. Timings are approximate and can change with weather and local conditions.
Pickup
Pickup is free from Krabi Town, Ao Nang, Tab Kak and Klong Muang. Exact times are in the table below and confirmed after booking. This tour departs from Krabi, not Phuket.
What to bring
- Swimwear under your clothes and a towel
- Water shoes or sandals with grip; the hot spring rocks are uneven and slippery

- Insect repellent, sunscreen and drinking water
- Cash in Thai baht for entrance fees, which are paid on the day (see the note in the price table)
Tips from our team
- Do not soak in the hottest pools for too long, especially in the midday heat.
- Keep food and plastic bags out of sight at Tiger Cave Temple; monkeys live around the steps.
- If you plan to climb to the summit, bring extra water and take it slowly.
- Remove any silver jewellery before soaking; minerals in the water can tarnish it.
