Coral Island (Koh Hey) is the closest day-trip island to Phuket: about 15 minutes by speedboat off the south coast, with white sand, clear shallow water and a choice of water sports. This Coral Island half day afternoon trip takes you by speedboat to Kahung Beach on Coral Island for swimming, snorkelling and beach time, back in time for dinner. Lunch is not included.

What to expect

Pickup is late morning (around 10:50 to 11:30 from Area 1; see the transfer table). You transfer to the pier and board the speedboat for the short crossing to Coral Island. The afternoon is free on the beach: swim, snorkel around the rocks at the ends of the beach, or book an activity. The speedboat then returns you to Phuket and the van takes you back to your hotel.

Activities and age rules

Activities are not included in the trip price but can be booked with us in advance (prices in the table below). Age, health and weight rules apply. For example, scuba and sea walking are for ages 15 to 55 only, and parasailing has an 80 kg weight limit. Read the full rules under the activity prices.

What to bring

• Swimwear, towel and a change of clothes
• Reef-safe sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
• Snacks or cash for food on the island, as lunch is not included
• A dry bag for phones and valuables
• Water shoes if you plan to snorkel near the rocks

Tips from our team

• Book activities with your trip; prices paid directly on the island are usually higher.
• The floating jetties at Coral Island can move with waves and passing boats, so take care when walking on them.
• Coral Island is sheltered and trips usually run in the low season, but rough days can still cause changes.
• Do not fly within 18 hours of a scuba try-dive or sea walk.

Where is Coral Island?
About 6 km off Phuket’s south coast, near Rawai and Chalong. The speedboat ride takes around 15 minutes.

Is lunch included?
No. This is an afternoon trip without lunch. Bring snacks or buy food on the island.

Are snorkelling and water sports included?
The trip covers the boat and beach time. Paid activities are listed in the table below and can be added when booking.

Is it good for children?
Yes. The water is shallow and calm in good weather, and children aged 4 to 11 have a child rate. Some activities have minimum ages.

What time do I get back?
Late afternoon. The team will confirm your pickup and return times after booking.

Does it run every day?

REMARK: CORAL ISLAND TRIP + ACTIVITIES THE PRICE FOR ADULT AND CHILD IS THE SAME.

1. Diving or Sea Walking: These activities only allow people from 15-55 year old to participate. And you must not have any health problems with the body or congenital diseases. Also you must not drink alcohol before the activities and and rules also say thet you should not take a flight to anywhere before or after 18 hours of doing these activities.
2. Banana Boat: These activities only allow people from 10-60 year old to participate. And you must not have any health problems with the body or congenital diseases.
3. Parasailing: These activities only allow people from 10-60 year old to participate. And you must not have any health problems with the body or congenital diseases and the body weight must not exceed 80 kg.
