Season and sailing days
The shared Phi Phi day trip runs in the high season, from 15 November to 16 April, on set days of the week. The rate table below shows the days we currently sell (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). From mid-April to mid-November the yacht switches to a calmer route around Koh Hong and the Krabi side of Phang Nga Bay, so if you are travelling outside the Phi Phi season, ask us on WhatsApp about that alternative.
What to expect on the day
The day runs from about 10:30 to 19:00. Timings below are a guide and the captain may change the order for weather and tide.
- Morning: board at Royal Phuket Marina and sail towards Phi Phi with a welcome drink.
- Around midday: swim in the clear water near Pileh Lagoon on Phi Phi Leh.
- Lunch: a plated gourmet lunch on board while anchored in a quiet bay.
- Afternoon: time ashore at Maya Bay (walking and photos only, no swimming) and a stop off Monkey Beach.
- Late afternoon: sunset cruise back to Phuket, arriving at the marina around 19:00.
Maya Bay rules you should know
Maya Bay is part of a national park. Swimming is not allowed in the bay, boats drop guests at a back-of-island jetty, and the beach closes every year in August and September for recovery (it reopened on 1 October 2026). National park fees and current access rules are confirmed when you book.
Pickup and meeting point
The yacht departs from Royal Phuket Marina on the east coast near Koh Kaew. The rate block below shows free hotel pickup for selected areas when booking the promotion, and a van rate per area for other hotels. If you are making your own way, plan to arrive at the marina before 10:00. Your exact pickup time is sent the day before.
What to bring
- Swimwear, a light cover-up and a hat.
- Reef-safe sunscreen and sunglasses.
- A phone or camera in a waterproof pouch.
- Cash for drinks you order on board and for any park fees.
Tips from our team
- Book at least a few days ahead in December and January, as the small boat fills quickly.
- Outside food and drinks are not normally allowed on board; alcohol is sold on the yacht.
- The minimum age is 6 years, and all guests pay the same rate because space is limited.
- If you get seasick, take medication before boarding; the yacht is more stable than a speedboat, but the Andaman Sea can still be choppy.

How long is the boat trip from Phuket to Phi Phi by yacht?
Expect roughly two hours each way, depending on the sea. The whole day lasts about eight and a half hours.
Can children join the luxury yacht tour?
Yes, from 6 years old. Children pay the adult rate because each place on board counts towards the passenger limit.
Can we book the whole yacht privately?
Private charters can sometimes be arranged. Send us your date and group size on WhatsApp and the team will check with the operator.
Is alcohol included?
Soft drinks and water are included. Cocktails, champagne and spirits are available to buy on board.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The captain decides on safety grounds. If the trip is cancelled by the operator, the team will help you rebook or arrange a refund under the booking terms.
Can I swim at Maya Bay?
No. Swimming is banned in Maya Bay to protect the reef, but there are swim stops elsewhere on the route.
