Elephant Sanctuary Nature Park Chiang Mai. Elephant trainers are called Mahouts, and once you arrive and are checked in, you will learn how to safely interact with and care for elephants.

After you have bee taught all you need to know, By the end of the day you’ll be able to ride an elephant and give them a bath, just like a professional mahout!

These are all rescue elephants, in other words they have all been rescued from circuses and illegal logging camps and so your visit means that they will be cared for in the long-term.

At our camp we do not separate babies from their mothers, and we do not paint elephants or make them dance. However, they do use bull hooks for the safety of both the elephants and the visitors to the park. These are not cruel to the elephants in any way.
