Your adventure begins with an early start and a scenic 90-minute drive to Phang Nga province. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque fields and lush palm and rubber plantations. As you catch a glimpse of authentic rural Thai life, your guide will point out key landmarks and share fascinating insights into the region’s history and culture.
Your first stop is the fascinating Suwan Kuha Temple, affectionately known as the “Buddha Cave Temple” or “Monkey Temple.” Tucked entirely inside a maze-like cave system, this unique site features a troop of wild monkeys waiting outside. Don’t worry—they are friendly, and you can enjoy feeding them or watching them play around the entrance. The entire area has an adventurous, Indiana Jones vibe. Inside the caverns, you’ll discover a massive reclining Buddha statue, historic stupas, mesmerizing stalactite formations, and even local cave bats.
Next, you’ll head to the riverside rafting camp. While the rafting is easy and accessible, safety comes first. You’ll receive a quick briefing and get geared up with life jackets and helmets before hitting the water.
Soaking wet but full of energy, you’ll trade your raft for a gentle giant. Climb aboard an elephant for a trek through the lush tropical rainforest. The vibrant jungle, winding streams, and stunning landscapes are an absolute highlight of the trip.
All that adventure is bound to work up an appetite! Back at the camp, a delicious Thai set lunch will be waiting for you. To top off an incredible day, you’ll visit a nearby waterfall for a refreshing swim before your comfortable transfer back to the hotel.
